First Light

9x12 oil painting of a bull moose. I was up early well before sunrise and went to look for moose. This big bull emerged from the trees along the Gros Ventre River, walked through the sagebrush, and over a hill out of view all before the sun came up. The warm sky against the blue mountains made for such an incredible view.
